Diana is on the AZBGC youth committee and has worked hard over the past five years both with her own schooling and also to ensure that the younger children are supported in their homework and English language. Diana looks to her aunt Agnes Zabali – someone who worked hard to ensure the community around her were taken care of – as a role model. Diana is curious about community and world events and has a real thirst to learn from every experience and person she encounters. She hopes that her curiosity and hard work will help her fulfill her dream of becoming a journalist.
AZBGC helps Lillian in many ways such as education, medication, and recreation activities such as dancing and the basketball team. Lillian is a great dancer and has also participated in youth leadership opportunities for celebrations when volunteers are visiting from Canada. This gives her the chance to practice her public speaking and to be a role model for the younger children.
